Season 7 Guide

Changes for Season 7:
-More randomness to training. Expect some weird things to happen, as with any change HA makes with a random factor.
-Training slows with low potential. This is makes it even more important to have good scouting. Be wary of older players unless they're so much better than the rest of your team it doesn't matter if they don't train.
-Skill "soft cap" is now 150% of quality. If quality is 100, it used to be very difficult to get a skill (ie goalie) past 100, as training slows to a near halt. Now you can get it up to 150 before the slowdown occurs.
-Hall of Fame added to manager page. Points are awarded for winning cups and the all time ranks are shown.
-Merchandise sales are now calculated with daily profit. Gives you a more accurate report of your finances, as well as increased bidding room on the unprotected market. When buying players on the "blue" market, daily profit is no longer considered.
-USA doesn't get a 6th league. Expect the level of competition to increase.

National Teams
Please make sure you vote in the election for U20 coach this week. Both teams will post requirements shortly. If (and only if) you have players exceeding those requirements, HA-mail the coach with your player's info. It is to your advantage to try to get your foreign players on those teams as well.

Sponsor Pack
HockeyArena desparately needs sponsors. As previously posted, there's a great benefits package. Credit cards will be accepted soon.

Open Spots
Less than 10 spots in the USA remain. If your friends want in, they need to sign up now. It may be a long time before we get a 6th league with the server situation.

The Americas Cup
(Formerly North America Cup) Is looking for teams for this season. Sign up in the thread for international. Next season, a greatly expanded version will be held with at least one team from every league in North and South America (hopefully).

National Cup
Look for an interesting battle this year. The winner could come from any league, with rapid changes in team skills. Several are promoting each year with 25 plus wins, while others are plummeting fast. Scouting reports show only a select few teams who are really a class above the rest, and with some key upsets or those teams playing each other in an early round anything can happen.

World Cup
USA will start in Group D this year against Switzerland, Great Britain, and Russia. It is a winnable group, but all four teams have the potential to advance. Please be sure to support the USA in the forums as the rivalries from the U20 World Cup are sure to carry over.
