HA Needs Your Help

Many people will ask, why should I donate money so they can make a profit? The truth is, this game is one of the rare things in life that is truly free. HA is not a bunch of profiteers. They have provided hours of fun for us, spending thousands of dollars on servers and countless hours coding. With an average number of sponsors of 5% of managers in each country spending about $10 a year, you can quickly do the math and see it doesn't add up.

To offset the cost, HA has created Sponsor Pack. While it offers no playing advantage, there are several fun and/or useful features which are described at http://hockeyarena-usa.blogspot.com/2005/05/value-of-sponsor-pack.html. With an average cost of 0.03 USD a day and every payment method imaginable both directly from HA and from the USA NAT team at http://hockeyarena-usa.blogspot.com/2005/06/purchase-hockey-arena-sponsor-pack.html there really is no excuse for not buying it. You can find the money (and probably more) by looking daily in any parking lot, street, or store.

If you have already purchased Sponsor Pack you can still help. The Americas Cup offers more Sponsor Packs as prizes than any other cup in HA. These packs are provided by the USA NAT team, but they must purchase these packs through HA like everyone else. This of course takes money. The USA NAT team takes donations on behalf of AC at http://hockeyarena-usa.blogspot.com/2005/06/donate-to-tournament-cup-prizes.html.

HA 101

This is a collection of links to various articles written to help players starting out in HA. If you still have a question, post in the USA forum. If you know of a good article that's not on here, HA mail gm_888.

Before you begin, please be aware that many of these articles assume you have read the official guide and FAQs on the HA home page. The articles near the top are basic things to get you started. As you go down, they cover more complex topics that you can do without at the start, but will be necessary to long term success.

USA Needs Managers

We have just had a few spots open up. The number is around 20. Now is the time to get your friends in before they get locked out. It will be a long time before we get a 6th league. If they show the slightest interest have them try it for a week.
