The Value of Sponsor Pack

Building the Stadium

First the costs, since these are not spelled out in the game guide.

Cost to construct a level in a percentage range:
0-9 $ 200,000
10-19 $ 400,000
20-29 $ 600,000
30-39 $ 800,000
40-49 $1,000,000
50-59 $1,200,000
60-69 $1,400,000
70-79 $1,600,000
80-89 $1,800,000
90-99 $2,000,000
100 $2,200,000

Days to build:
0-24 1 day
25-49 2 days
50-74 3 days
75-99 4 days
100 5 days

Costs to maintain:
Take the percentage level and square it, then multiply for the multiplier for that facility (below).
Training 60
Regeneration 60
Cheerleaders 70
Scouting 70
Marketing 70
Youth School 80

Example for 10% Training Facility
10 (Level) x 10 (Level) x 60 (Multiplier) = $6,000 daily operating costs

Additional Info:
(The basic purposes are well spelled out in the guide)

Your training facility is the most important feature. Because of the way training works every player on every team is constantly improving. If you can not keep up with the rate of training of your league, your team is effectively getting worse until it is demoted. The key to success as you start out is getting a core of young players to train and build around. A a good Youth School is useless if the players receive no training when getting out because they will certainly not be ready for the starting lines.

Regeneration is discussed in detail in the energy article. This facility is the source of it. The higher you build it, the more you can ask of your players.

Cheerleaders boost player motivation. The higher it is, the better they will play. They'll also keep your team spirit high because you won't have to use high importance as much.

Scouting has the least visible return for your money, but it's well worth it. Better suggested ticket prices will increase your income. High scouting is essential for player decisions. Low accuracy could mean letting a top youth player go or spending millions on an older player who's already finished.

Marketing increases revenues by increasing attendance, fan club membership, sponsor fees, and merchandise sales. The investment pays for itself.

Youth school gives you the players you need to build your team. While quality and potential are independent of level, starting AI rises with it (along with the number of players). If you build your school enough, you'll have players that can be sold as soon as they hit 20 for a healthy profit, even if they'll never make your starting lines.

Energy

Like any other attribute, no one knows exactly how it affects players. One thing is certain, the higher the better. Energy is lowered by training and matches. It is raised by rest. If it falls below 60, players are at a greatly increased risk for long term injury. If you are fortunate enough to get a national team player, the manager will not play them if you don't keep their energy up.

Training and Energy The harder you train your players the lower their energy will be. The key is to find the maximum level of training you can do while keeping energy at a reasonable level. I recommend keeping your starters at at least 90 energy. You can let the subs go a little lower. There are two approaches to adjusting training to rest players.

Option 1 Adjusting match day and off day intensity. Use 100% of skills training in your schedules. Start your match day intensity (for that day's starters) at 50% and your off day (everyone else) at 100%. Adjust downward until their energies are at good levels.

Option 2 Leave your intensities as they are. Create multiple versions of your training schedules. Make one with skills training at 100% and the others with lesser percents. Unused percentage points go to rest. If energy is low, use a schedule with high rest. If it is high, use one with less rest.

Never set your players to idle. This button is useless. They will not train and they will not rest.

Effects of Games There's no set effect a game will have on energy, except it will make it go down. Factors included number of lines, shift lengths, and intensity.

Regeneration Build up your stadium's regeneration facility to increase rest rates. The higher you get this, the more you can train your players and the faster your team will improve.

The Importance of a Players Form

As I'm sure most of you read at Thurin's Newbie Guide a player that has high form is often better than a player with low form and slightly higher skill attributes.

Read the following regarding players form and how to help get that players form as high as possible.

The following is as found in the Hockey Arena Guide at http://www.hockeyarena.net./hokej.php

Form
:
High form and experience allow a player to use his abilities more effectively. On the other hand, low form and experience increases the chances of chance that player making a major blunder. .

The role of form is to reflect player's current physical and mental condition. So it is not directly affected by match performance or training. Factors that affect form, are in general not part of the game (like player's private life). Form has a direction in which it is changing every day, the best way to reflect this changes is to replace players with low form with a higher ones. The direction of a players form can be changed in each game update and the chance of getting the increasing direction can be slightly influenced by these options :
- light, or medium training
- good match performance

In case the player's form is falling, it can be stopped with light or medium training.

Form of injured players is slowly decreasing during the period of their injury.

How Training Works for Player Skills

Training your players in the game at www.hockeyarena.net is one of the most important aspects of the game. You must make certain that you train each and every one of your players everyday, or they will not regenerate their energy levels at all. (Meaning they will lose energy everyday and not re-energize during the nightly update) Below explains how training works and at what rate it will improve your players skills.

Here is an example:
Player = Wayne Gretzky
Player Training % = 20%
Training Schedule = 90%
Training Breakdown = 45% Strength - 45% Speed - 10% Rest

Player Training % = 20% This is the maximum total percentage that you can add to all skills combined on that given day of training.
But since you are scheduled to train 90% that day you would only get 18% (90% of the 20% that your player can train) added to your skills that you train.
Strength being 45% of your training would add 8.1% to your Strength skill that day.
Speed being 45% of your training would add 8.1% to your Speed skill that day.
Sooooo, basically it would take 12.4 days of training like this to move both Strength and Speed up 1 Skill Point each at this training regiment for this particular player.

These skill % improvements
(as explained above) on a training day indicate ONLY the percentages for a player that is in a reserve role for the day. If a player is active in the game that day, these percentage improvements should be slighly higher then stated here. This is due to the fact the the player also gains skill improvemts from the game/match in which they played that day.

Hope this makes sense.....But, please construct your own training regiment!!!
